LonAgro Mozambique’s New Nampula Branch Manager

The Management of LonAgro Mozambique are proud to welcome their new Nampula Branch Manager; Adele Laurel Fortune (De Sousa) to their team.

Swazi born Adele completed her studies in Durban, and relocated to Mozambique in 2012 to join her husband (a Mozambican National) who was offered a management position in Tete in 2011.

Prior to her move to Mozambique, Adele has held several interesting positions; including two with United Nations agencies (United Nations Children’s Fund – UNICEF, and World Food Program – WFP in Swaziland) After her tenure with the UN, Adele decided that she wanted a career change and accepted a position in the Sales Department of Swazi Trac (Pty) Ltd, the agency holders for John Deere, Volvo, BOMAG and JCB in Swaziland.

Adele’s career then took another turn when she decided to open a 200-seater restaurant, which she sold as a going concern in 2012 before relocating to Mozambique.

Upon her arrival in Mozambique, Adele’s career was forced to take another path thanks to a delay concerning a Mozambican Citizenship and Naturalisation. Fortunately, this speed-bump is behind her, and Adele is now a proud Mozambican citizen and ready to take on the next chapter of her career with LonAgro Mozambique!

With Adele now behind the wheel in Nampula, she’s looking forward to expanding their customer base and offering the best after sales service in the country.
